My 7 month old received this for Christmas although the recommended age is 18 months.

Standing at about 20cm tall, this Makka Pakka is very tactile and my son loves to grab and cuddle it. As he is so little, he can't get the talking bit to work on his own but when I press the button to play the talking, he loves it. It is also the only bit of tv merchandise he has so does a double take of it when In the Night Garden is on which is fun to watch!

Plus points:
* Looks exactly like Makka Pakka - not cheap imitation looking
* Well concealed battery pack
* Very soft and well made
* Seven different noises including the little Makka Pakka rhyme
* Easy to press noise maker

Disadvantages:
* Price - £18 seems quite steep for what you get but guess that is typical of merchandise from tv programmes
* All stitched except plastic eyes and nose which is fine for 18 month olds as is recommended but mums might want to be a bit cautious if giving to younger babies
* Although 7 sounds, most are very quick so you have to keep pressing the noise maker to maintain little ones interest

A nice item to give/receive as a gift for fans of In the Night Garden but a bit pricey to go out and buy yourself.
