Advantages: It lively and bright and kids love it

Disadvantages: The music never ends!!!!

My mother in law had one of these at her house and my son who was just one at the time loved it. The tune it plays makes it sound like an arcade machine and it drove me crazy.

As it was nearly Christmas I decided that we would get him one because we couldn't think of anything else he might like. I was unable to get it in the shops and so ended up paying a fortune for it on ebay.

When he opened it he was quite excited. We put it together straight away as all you had to do was put the legs on it. He put the balls onto the top himself and was really excited when he pressed the button and the tune started and the balls started bashing about all over the top. After that he lost interest a little bit and prefered to see what else he could make spin on the turntable in the middle. He tried everything from play saucepans to our new kittens.

My youngest son is now 11 months old and he thinks this game is excellent. He has been walking round the furniture for a couple of months now and set the music off one day by accident. Now he has worked out how to make the music play and he likes to lean up against it and bop away to the tune.

If it had only been used by one child it would not have been worth the £17 I paid but now that my youngest is using it I feel that I have had my moneys worth.

The toy is quite sturdy and has never tipped over even when two have been playing at the same time.
The colours are very bright and it has jazzy stickers on it.
The action of the balls is highly amusing to toddlers and the balls fall into pockets on the side which confuses them when they think that they have fallen onto the floor.
The tune is enough to drive you insane and I think there are only two different ones so it is very repetative and very loud. There is no volume control but there is an on-off switch underneath.

Summary: Very pleased with this toy even if I paid too much
