I bought this train set for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday because she was very keen on the the programme "In The Night Garden" shown on CBeebies. I bought a few of the characters in the set too so she would have then to play with alongside this train. I haven't seen one of the flying snorting Pinky Ponks but this, Ninky Nonk is a kind of train that belts around the garden throwing its passengers around with gay abandon. In The Night Garden is an animated show on Cbeebies. It shows various cartoon like characters in a garden. The children's programme 'In the Night Garden' first came out when my daughter was a toddler and she loved it instantly. However, the merchandise was very limited at that point and due to my location it was very difficult to get hold of it. By the time it was widely available my daughter had grown out of the series. We originally brought my son the wooden Ninky Nonk from Woolworths but soon realised that as each compartment came apart in 3 different pieces it was too awkward for him to play with. As he did try to play with it we found this plastic version in the 2 for £15 at Argos and decided on buying it for Christmas. I picked this up for my daughters second Christmas, at the time she was a huge in the night garden fan so I thought this would be something that she would really like. The main reason for buying this however was the price because at the time it was part of the 2 for £15 on toys in Argos. I'm not sure if this offer is still on but the original price is £10.
