As you are probably aware by now, my eighteen month old granddaughter is a big In The Night Garden fan. In the run up to Christmas I'm sure we blitzed all the shops in a 50 mile radius to get her a wonderfully themed In The Night Garden sack of goodies from Santa. I was placing my annual big Amazon order when I noticed they sold a Ninky Nonk toy priced at just £10, I knew everyone else was concentrating on the rather sweet characters from the show so I decided to treat her to this too so she'd have the full range. Christmas came around and my granddaughter opened her Ninky Nonk and started making the tinkly noises that he makes in the programme, so it ended ... Read the complete review

My eighteen month old daughter absolutely loves In The Night Garden, and we have some of the toys from the merchandising range, such as, Upsy Daisy, Iggle Piggle and Makka Pakka, as well as some board books that are suitable for toddlers (made from thick cardboard). My mum recently bought the Ninky Nonk train as a present for my daughter. I am not sure where she bought it from, but the product range is widely available from shops such as Mothercare, Boots, Littlewoods and ebay, and retails at around £10.00. I found that the Ninky Nonk was packaged in a cardboard box, and was also fixed in place with plastic wiring, which required scissors to cut open. It took me ... Read the complete review

I would expect anyone with a child 5 or under to have heard of the In the night garden. It is a rather popular TV programme shown on cbeebies and babies and tots simply can't seem to get enough of it. With in the programme is a train called the Ninky Nonk (where do they get these names from) that goes around the night garden. Its a rather special train that speeds around the garden carrying the characters, it can even go upside down along tree branches. I saw this Ninky Nonk train in Debanhams last year, as soon as my son spotted he had to have it. I felt it was rather expensive at the time £9.99 but I figured buy it shut him up and he'll be happy he loves ... Read the complete review

On a sunny afternoon in Makro, Sheffield I was walking down the toy aisle with my two daughters in tow when one of them emits a squeal of delight whilst pointing fratically at the above toy. It was reduced to around £15 at the time (12 months ago) so I bought it for her much to her approval. It wasn't until we returned home and started the battle with the packaging that I realised just how poor the quality of the toy was. The plastic was sturdy enough but the painting was poor and the ninky nonk refused to keep it's carriages together regardless of the type of floor you were running it across. In the course of about 1 week the parts were ... Read the complete review

My little boy is a massive in the night garden fan and for Christmas this year he got quite a few of the in the night garden toys, He loves the Ninky Nonk and when ever the Argos book was open this was the toy he always pointed too, Leading up to Christmas everyone always asks what he wants and we tell them what to get (saves having two of everything and having to take them back or them sitting in his toybox never to be played with) so I told his great grandma that he had wanted this Ninky Nonk for a while and would be a great gift that he would enjoy and I was sure he would play with. So off to Toys R Us we went and found the Ninky Nonk it was a lot cheaper ... Read the complete review
