Advantages: It's bright and lots of multi functional fun!

Disadvantages: The stickers become tatty and the battery compartment is stuck fast,

My son received this as a gift from his grandparents on his first birthday. He loved it instantly and still loves it today, now aged two and a half. This little ride on toy is completely fit for purpose- trundle along and scuttle around on a-plenty! It can be used as a walker/push along if your child so wishes. It's brightly coloured and at the front has a window with spinning Tombliboos, activated by a chunky push down knob. It has a clicky twisty mirror and a yellow star opposite which turns and clicks also. On the steering wheel there is a button which plays the Tombliboos song and little phrases (requires batteries). The seat lifts up and lo n behold- a storage compartment for all sorts of goodies including half eaten fruit, nappy cream, remote control and mummy's Visa card (we discovered at the till in Marks and Spencer)! The advantage of this being that whenever you lose something- odds are you'll find it in there!

**We Like**
It's sturdy and built to last- it's been chucked around a fair bit and used in the garden and it's still going strong.
It's brightly coloured and attractive, with plenty of visual stimili in the form of our favourite little characters.
Aides development- Gross motor skills are utilised when the child uses their body to move the toy along as they sit on it and it can be used to help your child as they toddle away- they can hold onto the back and potter round to their hearts' content. They also learn the concept of steering (a very small give in the steering department but good enough for the purpose).
You can use it to go on very short walks as an alternative to your buggy.
We 'loved' learning how to play 'hide the random object' under the seat.
It's a good old staple toy!

**We weren't as impressed with...**
The stickers which I believe came on a sheet with the ride on (my mum in law must have stuck them on as they were wonky!). It doesn't take long before they're all dog eared and dirty. But hey, they're stickers and a toddler is abusing them- what did I expect? It just makes the ride on look a bit tatty quite early on in its life.
The batteries faded pretty quickly (which power the Tombliboo song etc), which is fine- but try as I might with the appropriate shaped and sized screw driver, I could not remove the plastic bit that houses the batteries as despite the screws lifting out the plastic cover was stuck fast and has no lip to get a grip on. Needless to say, it is now a quiet toy and shall remain that waay for ever more I imagine. This doesn't really detract from the fun though.

This is most definitely amoung my son's favourite toys and he still prefers it to the 'big boy's bike' that we spent a fortune on! Well worth the money- if only to see how super cute your smiley little one looks as their little legs are working ten to the dozen! A good player in the ride on world!

Summary: A great buy, as the most important thing is- my son adores it!
