... is available from John Lewis and is priced at £14. I think this is a little expensive for such a simple toy but then again the quality is great, it looks great and my son really likes it so perhaps it is worth the price. I think it makes a lovely gift.

I would definitely recommend this Hammer Bench as it is fun, educational, great quality and looks great. It is a little pricy but I think you are paying for the quality....more

My son received the John Lewis Hammer Bench for his first Christmas. I really like traditional wooden toys as I think it is nice for my son to have a few 'simple' toys that don't require batteries and also I think they look really nice too. I was probably more excited than my son when we unwrapped it! - The Hammer Bench - The toy is essentially a wooden bench with holes in it where wooden pegs can be knocked through using a wooden hammer. The bench measures approximately 20cm in length and 11cm in height. The legs of the bench are painted in the bright colours of red, green, yellow and blue while the middle section with the holes is light-coloured wood. ... Read the complete review
