      a nice toy

My daughter was brought this as a gift, it is designed for children aged 9 months pluss which i think is a good starting age for this toy.
It is currently retailing on amazon at £16.50 which to be honest with you i think is a little expensive for what it actually is and how much my daughter actually used this toy.

It is very brightly coloured and has lots of buisy patterns that are designed to help with childrens vision developing and to stimulate there brains, It rattles, squeeks and rustles which my daughter used to find realy fasinating to listen too and make a noise with and when she first started to use it she couldnt work out where the noise was coming from.

My daughter began to get the full benefit from playing and learning with this toy when she was about 14 months old, she used to spend hours putting the pieces in and out of the cube and loved to throw it arround so it was a good job it was soft and wouldnt hurt her.

I dont realy have any dislikes of this toy but for the money it costs i do think you could get a better more interesting shape sorter for the price.

multi sensory experience, nice first shape sorter

My son was given this for christmas and from when he was about 4/5 months he liked to hold/suck the shapes. And now he is starting to try and post the shapes in the right hole.

This product is a good size padded fabric cube with a velcro fastened 'door' to get the shapes out, 4 sides with shaped holes in, each sideis a different colour and design, and each shape matches the relevent colour/design. Each shape that can be posted also has a different sensory experience in addition to the colours/patterns - 2 rattle, one has a squeaker and one has that crunchy noise.

As I said previously initially it was only the shapes that were of interest to him (as would be appropriate to his age at that time) as he could hold them, wave them around and of course eat them!!! As he has been gaining more experience of the world he then moved to getting the shapes in/out of the cube through the door and is now trying to post the shapes through the right hole!!

One disadvantage to this product being fabric and soft is that is fairly easy to put the wrong shape through the wong hole.
