This was another toy my son received as a gift and has enjoyed playing with

Who is it suitable for- from birth

What is it-

It is a soft to the touch block, which has different textures and colours on all sides.

Each side is a different colour with something different to do and depending on the music selection will play one of two tunes/rhymes.

These are:

Music
The yellow side plays an African-style melody
The blue side plays a Tropical-style melody
The green side plays a Caribbean-style melody
The purple side plays an Asian-style melody
The white side plays a Classical melody
The red side plays a Latin-style melody

Rhymes and interactive bit

"Yellow lion! In the African sun! Tickling your mane is really fun!" - to go along with the rhyme the lion's mane is a crinkle material. My son used to love making this crinkle and at times would use the mane to turn the block over

- "Blue fish! With scales that shine! If I pet you, will you be mine?"- The interactive bit on this is some silvery material my son never showed any interest in doing or touching this side and if I was being picky about this toy I would say this side could be adapted to have something better for them to do

- "Green leaves! Open and see! Who's that hiding in the tree?"- The two material leaves open to reveal the parrot underneath to play peek a boo my son loved this feature and again the leaves aided him in turning it over to hear the different sides

- "Shiny moon! In a purple sky! I see myself as you go by!" this side has a reflective mirror. Now because the mirror part is so small my son never seemed to interact with this side very well

- "White polar bear! In the icy snow! Slipping and sliding, away you go!" the polar bear moves from one side of the cube to another as my sons dexterity improved he loved to move this along and again used the polar bear to turn the cube over.

- "Red fox! Running about! Are you in, or are you out?"- The fox moves in and our of a hole in the material though my son on occasions would do this the fact that the fox was a tight fit for the hole seemed to stop he doing it that often


To turn on and off press the "On/Off" button on the front of the block and tip the block in any direction or it will automatically switch off after a few seconds of inactivity.

It takes 3 AA batteries which are included we still haven't replaced these as yet
