My parents got this caterpillar for my son as an easter gift. He took to it right away! Being a teacher I am always on the lookout for educational toys, and now having a child of my own I like to know that there is so much choice out there.

What I like about this particular toy is the 4 different choices you have. If your child gets bored with one mode you can switch to another. You can learn numbers and colours, listen to classical songs and also musical medleys. My son likes the classical music and seems to find it soothing. The colours are nice and bright- and when using this in colour mode there are nice songs for each colour. This is also the same for numbers. The parts that hang from the bottom all have slightly different things to do- rattles, squeaking, crinkling etc which are very stimulating for children.

This can be used as a toy in the car as well as it has two velcro straps to attach to the car seat. We tend to take this toy everywhere as my son enjoys using it so much. I have not found any faults with this toy and think it is a lovely way for children to learn initial numbers and colours, and also to be introduced to a different form of music than nursery rhymes!
