Advantages: A lot to do on it, sturdy, has two languages
Disadvantages: Sounds very computer like
My daughter received this for her first birthday from her Auntie. It was a huge present for her to unwrap so she needed a lot of help with this one!
On opening it she was delighted with the look of this toy as it has so much to do on it. It can either be used flat on the ground which was good for her to sit down at or you can attach the plastic legs to it which enabled her to stand up at it. This toy is suitable from 6 months so at that age it would be ideal without the legs on. It is a very sturdy toy and it has never collapsed or broken at all.
This toy has a number of features. There are two volume levels and you can choose for it to speak and sing in French or English. On the table there are different things to press like keyboard buttons and shapes, a rattle which rolls round, a guitar to slide, a turtle holding a banjo which you ping, a small pocket to open and what looks like someone holding a trumpet which you slide the button along on. In the centre of the table is what looks like a book which has one plastic page to turn. When it is on the page with letters and numbers all the buttons on the table say colours, letters, numbers and shapes, when the page has the drums and keyboard on it all the buttons on the table play music.
Both my daughters love this toy and the oldest is 7! My oldest daughter likes to have it set on French and she has picked up some of the French alphabet and the names of shapes. My youngest daughter is only just talking so she has not learned any French from it.
The only problem I have with this toy is the voices sound very computer like so can be very hard to really pick up what is being said, I have had to correct my older daughter a lot with French words because of this.
Other than that last fault this is definitely a great toy. I am not sure what was paid for this as it was a present but you can buy it from Amazon for £29.00.
Summary: Excellent toy for lots of learning fun
