Little Tykes Rocking horse comes in various colours and is made from strong plastic. It is low enough for children to climb on and off with places to put their feet when they are rocking, a comfortable plastic seat and easy to grip handles. The horse design includes a tail and face but nothing that stick out that can hurt a child. It is very safe to use, no sharp/dangerous points or corners and the seat has a back so children wont fall off when playing on it.

These rocking horses can be found in most large toy shops and are already put together so when you buy it its ready to play on. It's from 12months plus and can really be used and enjoyed at this age (possibly even younger by those bright sparks who walk before they are 1). They come in different bright colours; so far I have seen red, pink, blue and green and can be used indoors or outdoors. There are no bits that can be taken off or swallowed.

My friend gave me this for my first son when he was 1, 3years on it is still going strong and my youngest son who is now 1 loves riding it. My children have never experienced any problems climbing on or off it and they are both aware that it is a rocking horse from the moment they see it. It has faded a bit with age but no where near as much as I would have expected and it is still obvious what the colour and design is. They are great value for money and actually not too expensive to buy. The only problem we have ever had with it is my nephew was rocking quite roughly and banged the front of his mouth/nose on the top of the horses head and had a nose bleed, this was his fault for being so rough and he was always more cautious after. We keep ours outside on the grass and the children it is played by all children who visit, we even caught my 10yr old cousin on it playing pirates with the younger kids.

A great buy, encourages active play. Very robust, safe and colourful!
