I remember my brother playing with lego when he was little so for my son's first birthday I thought I'd look for duplo for him. I came across a big bag of maga bloks when out shopping one day and decided that I would buy that for him.

Mega bloks are available in packs of a variety of bricks (maxi suitable for ages 1+, mini 2years+ and micro 3years+) there are also vehicles and themed playsets available.

I purchased a bag of 80 maxi mega bloks. This is priced at £14.99 currently at Toys R us but you will find the megabloks range in most popular toy retailers and online.

The bricks themselves are very chunky and therefore easy for little hands to hold and manipulate. There are a number of different shapes and sizes in the pack including a wheel base, eyes and giant bricks. The bricks are brightly coloured so attractive to children!

The bag the bricks are sold in is completely adequate to store the bricks and has a handle on the top to make it easy to transport them too. There is a zip round the top so the bricks are secure.

There are a few constructions using the bricks illustrated on the side of the bag to give you a few ideas to get going!!

My son loves these bricks, he chews them, bangs them together, puts a couple of bricks together and loves to knock down and completely destroy anything I've spent ages building for him!! I know he's going to have many hours of fun with these bricks!
