Advantages: Well made, durable, bright, soft
Disadvantages: My son doesn't realise it is a teether even though I have shown him how to use it
I am 50/50 on this blankie. I love the colours, the fabric, the fact that it crinkles and that Oliver can hold it himself and move it about. He can even get it to his mouth and get the bits in to chew on it but (yes I'm sorry there is a but) he sees it more as a toy and crinkles the fabric and plays with it rather than realising that he can chomp down on it to help soothe his teeth no matter how many times I have shown him how to do this and since we have been out and about today, even though we took the blankie with us, we reverted to the Nuby Gum-eez teether instead with some Calgel on it which worked wonders.
The things I like about this teether:
Oliver loves it.
It is fun, lovely and bright to look at, different textures to feel and a nice teddy face in the middle that squeaks.
Oliver can get it to his mouth himself.
All of the corners of the comforter have a teether bit on there so the fabric doesn't get sucked instead.
It can be used as a comforter as well, during sleepy times which Oliver likes to do.
It can be used from 3 months. (This is a point of confusion; the Nuby website has this product from 0+ months but when I received the product it stated on the packaging 3+ months. I would go with the 3+ months simply for the ability for the baby to be able to move the blankie around and get the teether bit in their mouth).
The price is good, even from the Nuby website it is only £4.99 and since the quality is very good I was happy to pay that.
Things I think bring it down from a 5 star product.
Oliver thinks it's a toy so it never really got used as a teether.
Overall, I would say 4 out of 5 stars. Oliver loves it but to play with, so we went back to the Gum-eez teether and that one seems to be looking likely to be the best one for Oliver * at the moment * but of course, this may change as he gets older and other teeth are coming through and he is more co-ordinated.
