My son has a huge collection of Playmobil, including the knights castle. He is always keen to add to his collection and last year spent his birthday money on the lion knight cannon guard to go with his castle. I cant remember how much he paid, but see it is on sale in John Lewis for £4.95 and a similar price from Amazon.
The knight comes in a small cardboard box and inside is the knight figure, a wheeled cannon that can actually fire,2 missiles, a flash light and halberd. The knight has a black beard and long black hair. He can hold the flash light and halberd. The set is all made of strong, brightly coloured plastic .The figure can move his arms and legs, adding to the imaginative play value of the toy. The set is suitable for children from aged 4 and is not suitable for younger children as the small pieces pose a chocking hazard.
My son really enjoys playing with his castle and the cannon guard was a great addition to the set. The cannon is easy to fire;simply push in the missile and fire by pressing a button at the front of the cannon. However the missiles are quite small and can be easily lost! The knight can hold the flash light and halberd in his hands. However they can be tricky for small hands to fix into the figures hands causing frustration. The cannon has wheels so can be moved around to where it is needed to defend the castle. The knight is dressed in body armour of the time with a lion motive.
Overall this is a good set and would be a great present for any child with the knights castle. It is a also a set that can be played with alone. Playmobil is well made and will last. I think this set is well worth the money!
