The Playskool Go and Grow giraffe has been a favourite of my sons up until recently. He had it as a Christmas pressie when he was eleven months old and now outgrown it, he is 21 months old. This toy is recommended for children 12 months and over.

So what does it do? The Giraffe is a rocking horse type of toy. A younger child can sit on it backwards and be rocked, holding onto the rear handle and having the head of the giraffe to lean up against. An older child can turn to face the correct way and hold onto the handles nearer the giraffes ears. In both directions the child or parent can rock the giraffe forwards and backwards. For some reason most children like this rocking motion?! My son was one of those children.

This toy is very brightly coloured, a bright yellow. It has two bright orange/red coloured ears that are made of material and one has a rustleing material inside and the other has a squeaky sound.

This toy is very durable. There are no marks or scratches at all and my son played on this most days. It has been well used and well loved but unfortunately is not a toy that is long lasting as a child will quickly grow out of it. The reason my son can no longer play on this toy is because he was rocking on it one day last week and nearly tipped it over backwards, in fact he would have done had I not been sat next to him. My son is only small for his age, I don't know if this toy would have been able to be played with for as long with a bigger child. Therefore the giraffe has now been banished to the loft to be stored ready for number 2 one day.

Overall the giraffe has been a well loved and fun toy to play with. It playing power only lasts for short time but this is because the child will more likey outgrow it physically before they outgrow wanting to play on it.
