Whenever my younger brother brings his laptop downstairs Alfie's attention is immediately grabbed and if he is sitting within reaching distance he will try and grab the laptop and press the buttons so knowing this my mom decided to get him his own little toy laptop to play on so he wouldn't keep trying to grab the proper one. This "Sassy Touch & Talk Laptop" is what he ended up with and now it has been here for a few weeks I thought Id get around to reviewing it. Now this really does have its good and bad points so after the initial information that is how I'll split the review - try and make it easier for me to write and for you to read!

      Useful Information:
      Price: £20
      Stockists: Amazon & SimplyBe
It doesn't actually say an age that this toy is most suited for but as it is marketed as a bay toy I'm guessing that they lowest age it can be used at it quite young even if they cant press the buttons properly yet they will still enjoy hearing it and looking in the mirror and at the different colours.

There's no doubt about it this is a really nice thing to look at. It is very colourful with loads of different patterns and textures which means a babies attention will be on this straight away. In place of where the screen would be on a proper laptop there is a mirror, a "mode" switch which you can press to change what noises come out and 8 buttons all of which are separate noises or phrases. This can be switched off by a small flick switch on the underside of the "laptop" this is where you will need 2x AA batteries but they do come with the product and we haven't needed to change them as yet.

The different modes are as follows: Colours, Musical Notes & Rhymes. So firstly colours. What my mom didn't know when she bought this is that this is a toy for not only playing with but also to help kids learn Spanish so the colours are said in English and then what they are in Spanish - they are also listed along the top. Ive certainly learnt a few new words since Alfie has had this and I assume it would be great if your trying to teach your child Spanish but my mom admits she wouldn't have bought it had she known. Then musical notes very simple each button is a different note - they all sound exactly the same to me though! And lastly rhymes things like: Orange fishy here's a kissy & Green fog on the log sound simple but that is Alfie's favourite part - although he thinks its quite funny when we say the Spanish words back to him!

      So Positives:
Looks great. There's to doubt about it the design is very nice and it does capture a babies attention really easily. Its small enough to transport and the buttons are soft enough for really young kids to be able to press them.

Alfie does like the rhymes & musical notes. He laughs his head off when the rhymes come on and while he does think the Spanish words are funny I don't think that is the aim - later on though he may pick up on the Spanish colours which would be great if we were trying to teach him another language but that wasn't the aim.

      Negatives:
The woman's voice is so annoying. The American woman who provides the voice over for this has probably the most annoying accent ever after a few buttons have been pressed I want to switch it off - but again I think Alfie finds her funny but adults will not like her!

I'm going to say that it speaks Spanish but only because that isn't why my mom personally bought it and there was no clue in the product description that it did do that. Alfie loves it now he has it and I bet he will learn the colours really quickly but as that wasn't the reason we bought it I'm going to count it as a negative.

Other than that though I'm going to give this 4 stars overall. It keeps Alfie occupied and it is one of the few buttons toys he can actually use himself without help but that woman's voice slices my brain every time! 4/5 make up your own mind on this one guys! Thanks For Reading
