Did you have a blanket when you were a kid? Did you snuffle it while you sucked your thumb? Now, do you remember which was your favourite part? If you are a professional thumb-sucker, you will definitely remember. It was the tag on the corner of the blanket. This was the best bit because it added something different to the blanket-snuffling experience. What is more, it was silky and smooth and you could rub it against your nose easily in order to comfort you.
The people at Taggies know this. They recognised the importance of the tag on a blanket to children and have that have created Taggies. You can get blankets and soft toys with tags on... but not just the one tag for your baby to snuffle. Oh no. Gone are the days when a blanket could be over-snuffled and the tag came loose. The creators of Taggies have covered their blankets and soft toys in multiple tags, for the delight of children everywhere.
Very young children who start to fumble with the tags can actually lull themselves into sleep, which is a great relief for parents who want a break from cuddling their baby to sleep, only to wake them as soon as they put them into their cot. This activity also promotes good hand-eye co-ordination and development in your baby.
You can even get little outfits with tags on them! How cute?! But the downside of this is that your child might become attached to the outfit and then grown too big to wear it. I am much more of a fan of the plush toys that Taggies produce, because they can last a lifetime!
This giraffe is just one example from their plush toy collection, made of ultra soft fabric, with imaginative embroidered detail and the ever so important collection of Taggies. What I really love about this giraffe in particular is the creative inspiration behind the design. The Taggies blankets have lots of tags all around the outside. The giraffe has his multiple tags on his tail and where his mane would be. This not only means that children have lots of tags to snuffle and play with, but they have a soft toy that actually looks like the animal it is meant to be. So even if they grow out of the snuffling stage (but let's be honest... who has really ever grown out of that?), they still have a cute little soft toy to play with.
The toy is about 12 inches tall, which is a perfect size for kids to carry around with them. The narrow neck means it is great for even the smallest hands to grab hold of. The tags are made from patterned brightly-coloured ribbon in different shades and widths.
There are so many different toys available. The UK website is not yet up and running but if you want to get an idea of the wide selection of Taggies products, please see www.taggies.com, their American website.
We always buy a Taggies gift when a friend has a baby and I have yet to find a child that was not delighted. In fact, each and every child not only chose this as their first toy to hold, which shows how great they are for babies' development, but the majority were drawn to these funny little Taggies creations to such an extent that they became the favourite toy from which the child could not be parted. We have learned our lesson and always buy two of whichever Taggies gift we buy. One for snuffling, one for the wash and should the unthinkable happen and a Taggie is dropped somewhere and lost, there is a spare in the cupboard just waiting to go!
With custom printed fleece mane, hooves and tail, this plush toy is sure to be loved by baby. Baby safe embroidered details on face and body.
