Advantages: gets babys interest

Disadvantages: ?

First years jingle ball.

We have the same ball as the one in the picture at my school.
This ball is an early years jingle ball. It is a soft squishy ball brightly coloured that when rolled of thrown makes a jingling sound inside is a bell.

This ball is made of fabric 6 coloured segments like an orange 2 red two yellow and two black and white. Spotty ones
I have noticed it on embay starting price £1. www.babyyears.co.uk have new for£2.99p

This ball is designed to help a baby develop fine motor skills holding, grasping (it is indeed easy to hold). Helps to develop throwing and catching skills
This soft ball has added interest it jingles when thrown (on the floor) helps baby by relate cause to effect (if I move this ball it jingles)
The bell jingling inside the ball adds an interest to baby all babies respond to sounds quicker than just sight. The ball is made of bright colours, which will be attractive to baby and raise their interest.
Baby will also chew this ball when teething don’t worry it is quite strong.

I use this at school with some of my very disabled pupils trying to get responses trying to get pupils with little arm movement to reach for the ball. A lot of my pupils like getting the ball and deliberately throw on the floor like a baby would they smile at the sound it makes and you picking it up, this a game baby will play too.

T his ball is useful when playing with blind or partially sighted children they can track the movement of the ball by the sound.
Overall I would say this is a good ball for a baby or young child. Thanks for reading Mary

We had something similar for Jacob but like most baby toys, he got a lot more out of it when he was older :-)

sounds like a great toy - have you seen the 'bumble balls'? they are fun too and my kids at school love them.
