Advantages: It`s Cute, It`s Fun, It`s addictive
Disadvantages: I haven`t seen it in the shops in a while, It`s addictive
Well I haveto agree with comments already raised about this toy, it`s definetly more for the adults, I actually bought this as a present for my girlfriend the first time we met real-time (We first met and fell in love, that`s another story that I`ll probably write one day) But anyways, on showing her the joy`s of birkenhead, I took her into the Woolworths where she spots this Elmo Toy and instantly falls in love with it`s cute sounding giggle and jiggling body... So she wasn`t going to leave the store without one.. Anyways (We`ve since got married and I`ve now bought her the Elmo Let's Pretend Toy too, Anyone who has this Elmo too, will know the following..) Elmo is a big red hairy monster.. He`s part of the sesame street gang, and is a very well made toy indeed.. Infact he`s been in a few wrestling matches with my 9month old daughter and has come out fur intact, which is a task few other toys have managed. For those needing to know some more about elmo, here`s a quick factfile. Name: Elmo Monster Age: 2 and a 1/2 Colour: Red Birthday: Feb 3rd Catchphrase: "Elmo Loves You" Hobbies: Playing the Violin, Tap Dancing Favourite Song: Elmo Song Best Friend: Zoe Pet: Giggles the Goldfish Favourite Food: Pizza.. So, the fact I know all that, does that make me a loving partner or a new elmo addict? Well I think the verdict is out on that one, but I do enjoy watching the odd episode of Sesame Street (although I must say I`m not a fan of Elmo`s Friend Zoe..) So Anyways back to the toy in question as after-all that`s what this opinion is all about.. It`s a great toy, fun for all the family.. but.. (and sadly there is a but,) It`s a battery guzzler.. if it was a car it`d be american and about 10 miles long.. So I advise picking up a charger and rechargable batteries as once that Elmo starts giggling it`s hard to want him to stop, also a point to note is the jiggle seems to be a little
irratic, now I`m not sure if that`s just the model we have, maybe it`s a little faulty? But sometimes it jiggles harder than others, just something I think you should be aware of if leaving it with kids, but apart from those minor niggles it`s a wonderful toy, and the giggle is such a cute heartwarming sound, so full of fun. and sadly ending on a bad note, I haven`t seen them in the shops in a while, I don`t know if they`ve been pulled from the shelves to be replaced by the Tickle Me ELmo "Suprise" Toy.. I haven`t actually bought a suprise, but I`m told there isn`t much difference between it and the original tickle me.. (major one being that elmo seem`s to be touch sensitive (only ticklish in one spot, which changes each time you tickle him) Whereas "Original Tickle Me" Was ticklish all over, all the time) I`d say on the sound of thing I prefer the sound of the original... but I guess that`s a personal preference thing, and having a random tickle feature could give the Toy a longer "Playability" level for some children..
