Baby’s Favourite Toy - Tiny Love Spin Ball

Tiny Love make products for babies from birth to two years. I believe this toy has greatly helped my grand-daughter learn through play.

      3-5 MONTHS
Although Tiny Love’s recommended age for their Spin Ball is 6 months plus, my grand-daughter played with it from 3 months. She was watched though, to make sure it was safe for her individual developmental age. (She was a 2 weeks overdue, bigger than average baby, and never looked new-born to me.)

As a young baby, she examined how the plastic “slices” on the outside of the ball made a rattling noise when moved. The size of the panels seem just right for tiny hands to grip, and they are light enough not to have bothered her when they have been either side of a finger. The knobbly semi-circles moulded into the outside provide extra sensory interest.

The bright colours of the outside of the ball’s panels are proving very attractive, as are the two colourful faces that spin around in the centre.

To start with baby couldn’t spin the inner faces by herself, but was delighted when an adult spun them for her, so that she could see the many colours reflected on the inside of the mirrored panels.

At this young age, I believe this 4 inch ball helped develop baby’s hand/eye co-ordination quickly.

      6 MONTHS
At 6 months, I believe this favourite toy encouraged her to learn to crawl after it. We also started playing BOO by first moving the panels in front of an inner face, and then sliding them away again.

      12 MONTHS PLUS
With adult help, she is learning the names of the colours. She can now also vigorously shake it so that it rattles in time to her favourite songs.

Although this toy is no longer her firm favourite, she still keeps returning to it, and at 16 months is spinning the inner character herself to see the colours reflecting in the mirrored part.

This Tiny Love Spin Ball was my grand-daughter’s favourite toy between 3-9 months, and she continues playing with it at 16 months old.

I believe it has stimulated her physical co-ordination, and is now helping her learn the names of colours, all while she is having fun playing.

Also just looking at the smiley faces in the centre lifts my mood, so I think this contributes to the joy baby gets from it as well.

Therefore, this Baby Love Spin Ball is HIGHLY RECOMMEND by baby and me as a great unisex toy.
