Tomy Quack Along Ducks
Advantages: Cute, fun,entertaining
Disadvantages: Quacking gets annoying
These ducks have been around for years, I can remember my nephew having them when he was a toddler and he is now 12. When we saw these ducks Easter last year we decided they would be a better gift for our youngest daughter as she was only 7 months at her first Easter.
We bought the Ducks from Asda and I think they cost about £8, you can buy them in many places such as Argos, Asda and Amazon and they are made by Tomy which I have found is a good name in baby brands.
The toy consists of three ducks, one Mammy duck and two baby ducks, the Mammy duck is yellow and the baby ducks are green and blue. The Mammy duck has a bright red bow which is why I say Mammy duck rather than Daddy duck. The ducks are on wheels which are bright orange and there is a piece of cord attached to the front of them.
The ducks work by waddling along when the cord is pulled along the floor and they make a quacking noise along with a tune at the same time. The ducks look quite funny waddling along and for all the toy is supposed to be from age 10 month plus our daughter loved it when we pulled the ducks from side to side in front of her whilst she sat.
Once our daughter was on her feet and able to pull the ducks herself the quacking did become a little annoying after a while but that was because she would play with it for ages taking them for a walk, we ended up encouraging her to walk them in her baby buggy to lessen the quacking we had to listen to.
The ducks come complete with batteries and they are made of hard plastic which is good as our daughter has bashed them off just about everything in our front room and apart from a couple of little scuffs there is no damage to them. Our daughter is nearly 2 now and she has begun to play with these ducks a little less now so I think it won't be long until they are taken away but she has had a lot of enjoyment out of them even if we have found them annoying. The only danger aspect I must point out is that your child should be supervised whilst playing with these as the cord could get wrapped around their little necks.
Very highly recommended by our daughter, get some earplugs is my advise!.
Summary: A great toy
