      Ok bath toy

I bought this toy when my son was 18m old because we didn't have a lot of bath toys.
I had £10 Amazon voucher and the toy was for £14.29 at that time.

      Technical details from Amazon website:
      * Press the button to send a polar bear up the ski lift, through the hut and down the ski jump, splashing into the bath below!
      * This Aqua Fun toy includes 2 cool polar bear characters with coordinating snowboard, goggles and hat!
      * No batteries required.

I had to put 3 parts together which it was very easy to do. It has two suction cups.
My son didn't like this toy at first. He cried when the polar bear was going up, not sure why, probably because the toy was too loud.
It was also too fiddly for his little fingers to pull the button down. To be honest it was a bit fiddly for me at first too. There is a button which you have to pull it down and then press another one so it will make the polar bear go up and slide down. The manufacture age is 12+ but your baby needs to be a bit older to be able to push the button down. I think it would have been easier if they attached something bigger and easier for little fingers to grab.
After a while my son did enjoy the toy. He is over 2yrs old now and he is not playing as much as he used to.

Send the polarbears down the ski jump!

My daughter recieved this for Christmas from my little brother. Looking online I can see that this costs around the £12 mark. My brother purchased this in Boots.

The polar bear run does not require any batteries.

The run basically consists of ski-run up to a little yellow and orange hut which has an opening at the front from which the polar bears emerge down a slide/ski jump.

The run comes assembled, you do need to pop the slide on and it can again be easily removed for storage. The run is made from sturdy plastic and the slide is made from a flexible plastic.

To attach the run to the bath you need to moisten the two large suction caps at the back of the run and stick onto the side of the bath. I place the run so the slide is just touching the water. The run when stuck to the bath is attached securely so even if your child is a little rough when playing with the run it should still stay stuck. To remove the run you simply peel the side of the suction cups off and the run can be removed easily.

The run comes with three polar bears with different colour hats, snowboards and goggles there is a red, blue and a green polar bear. The snowboard of the polar bear has a magnet inside it. The run works by placing the polar bear on the run and sliding down a yellow button. Once the slider has been pulled down you simply press the button and the bear climbs the run before passing through the house and sliding down the slide.

At first my daughter hated this, at Christmas she was only 9 months and when the polar bears move up the slide the noise which reminds me of a grinding sound scared her, she also got really upset when the polar bears flew down the slide. So we packed it away, it was only when I moved last month that I got it back out and tried using it again, my daughter is 14 months now, she was really excited and kept pushing the button herself and placing the polar bears on the run, she also got very excited when they emerged down the slide, in fact in the last 2 weeks she never wants to get out of the bath!

The polar bears that come in the run also float in the bath which is ideal as they are easy for my daughter to find, the only downside the the slide is that for a younger child to pull back the slider is difficult and woould require assistance from mum or dad. This is recommended for 12 months and over, my daughter at 14 months can't work the slider and neither can my nephew who is 2 so I think this could have been designed to make it easier as my daughter likes to assert her independence and do things herself.

Overall this is a nice toy, it's simple and provides my daughter with lots of fun. She likes to place the polar bears on the side of the bath and push them in the water too! this toy is also easily removed and stored away, I would give this toy 4 out of 5 and would definately recommend it for fun bath times!
