Advantages: I love bashing mummy

Disadvantages: Mummy doesn`t like it

Hi there, my name is Rebecca and I`m nearly two. Mummy has popped out of the room for a minute, so I thought I`d sneak on the computer to tell you about one of my brilliant toys. Last christmas my uncle bought me a tomy wacky stick, and I just love it, but I don`t think mummy is too keen, she says it should come with a free hard hat.

This is a curvy red and blue stick with a big coloured spongy ball on the end which is just great for hitting mummy over the head with. The stick is hard but it`s just the right width for me to get a good grip on, so it won`t fly out of my hand when I`m busy battering my mum.

The ball on the end is about twice the size of an orange, and is red, green and blue. It`s very spongy so it shouldn`t hurt when I hit people, but for some reason people keep saying "ouch!!" whenever I bash them. Wacky stick is a bit hard for me to say, so I just call it a basher, well that`s what it`s for isn`t it? Mummy is the worst culprit for this, but I think it`s because she likes moaning at me, not because it hurts.

At the bottom of the stick there is another little ball about the size of a tangerine. You musn`t hit people with this end though because it has a speaker inside so it isn`t very soft. You musn`t go and dip it in coffee either like I did, because then it won`t work for ages and ages, and then it`s not as much fun.

The reason it has a speaker in it, is because it makes six really funny different sounds when you bash stuff with it. I don`t think the sounds are loud enough though because they don`t get on mummies nerves, but she says it is just loud enough. Spoil sport.

If you unscrew the little ring underneath the spongy ball, then the ball just slides off the stick and you can change the batteries inside. Mummy says it takes 3 LR44 batteries, but I just say those little round flat ones. I can`t get them out either because the battery cover is screwed on. The batteries must last a long time be
cause I`m always bashing people and my basher is still making silly noises. I`m not looking forward to when the batteries run out though because mummy is lazy and won`t put new ones in for me.

What my mum does like though is that the ball is made from pvc, so when I cover it in chocolate she can just wipe it with a cloth. It must be made well also because I haven`t managed to break it yet, so I had to make do with breaking mummies ornaments instead.

I`m not supposed to know how much this cost because it was a present, but when I was busy ripping the pages from the argos catalogue I saw it in there for £8.99.

Now, where`s my mummy gone? Ouch!! Ouch!! Ouch!! Ouch!! I found her. :0)
