... 18 months of age, right up until your child outgrows dolls. They are of course suitable for boys and girls (as are all dolls), and my only warning would be, that some of them have quite fluffy hair, and so if your child likes putting things in their mouth then maybe you shouldn't get these. For an asthmatic child, it would also be a sensible precaution to let the dolls (and especially Doodles) spend a night in the freezer every couple of weeks as this kills dust mites. ~~~Where can I get them and how much do they co...more

Seeing as my daughter, Ashleigh has recently rediscovered her Tweenie dolls after they'd spent a good couple of months hidden away in the dark recesses of the toy box, I thought it was a good a time to tell you about them ~~~Who are The Tweenies?~~~ The Tweenies are a group of four pre-school characters that spend the day at a playgroup run by Judy and Max and provide lots of educational fun for children in the form of a television programme that is regularly shown on CBeebies (a dedicated channel for little monsters). Now Ashleigh has the 14 inch soft bodied replicas of each of the main characters along with Doodles the Dog. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review MY LITTLE FRIENDS !! (353 words)

According to my three year old daughter "They are not toys daddy!" Thats the response I get when telling her to put them in the box with the rest of the toys. They are available from most big toy shops, but we got ours at Argos. Since we bought all four Tweenies and Doodles the dog for her last Christmas they have become part of the family. At a cost of about £12 each I thought it was a wee bit expensive, but now I think its amongst the best £60 I ever spent. I'm not sure if it is just another merchandise scam, but I am sure that the £12 each for them was far more worth it than the £12 each we paid for the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tweenies: Tweenie Clock - Where Will It Stop ?  (283 words)

Tweenies is one of the most popular TV programmes for pre-schoolers. It is ideal for children aged between two and five years old, as it is fun, but also educational. Not surprisingly, the programme has branched off into a wide variety of merchandise, but thankfully, it seems to be of a very high quality, albeit rather expensive. My four year old daughter especially loves her Tweenies soft toys. She has all five of them, but as they cost £14.99 each, it has taken her about a year to get the set, culminating in the newest toy - Doodles the dog - which she got for Christmas. The four main characters are Bella (a blue faced girl in red and yellow ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tweenies cuddly toys, they're great! (207 words)

My daughter got a cuddly Fizz and a cuddly Doodles for Christmas. Well Fizz is never more that a rms reach away, she takes her everywhere! She wasn't as impressed with the Doodles but Fizz was the bees knees. I know these toys are abit pricey for what they are but they are worht their money when they are played with as much as my daughter plays with hers. She knows that it is Fizz and even says Fizz in her language (sssssss), she is only 17 months old! The only down side to Fizz is that you can only surface wash her, she has been dragged around so much that she is beginning to look grubby and a surface wash won't surfice, so do I risk it, do ...  Read the complete review
