When my eldest daughter was about 1 and a ½ she discovered Tweenies, now she is 5 and she still likes to watch the programme and it is one that we have to have recording each week.

For our daughters second birthday we had to buy her the soft toy characters from the show and they still sit on the top shelf of her wardrobe now and when we moved into our house we got her Tweenies bedroom accessories which she was thrilled with.

Tweenies is about a childrens nursery but it is the strangest nursery I have ever known to be honest, there are two people who work there one being Max who must be supposed to be in his 60's and then there is a younger lady called Julie. The children in the show are called Fizz, Bella, Milo and Jake and then there are two dogs at the nursery too although in the earlier episodes there is only Doodles he is soon joined by a second dog Izzles. Lastly there is a Tweenies clock which they press and the clock will tell them what time it is along with the words "Tweenie clock where will it stop?"

Each character is pretty strange looking in my opinion and they always wear the same clothing, their clothes and hair are very bright and they each have their own styles such as Fizz always having pink things and Jake having a bright blonde mohican hairstyle.

The children have great adventures in the nursery and each programme tend to have a little message for your child, they have creative times where your child gets ideas on what they can make, they have story time where the message of the story usually backs up the message of the programme and the programme also covers people having trips out and discovering new things.

My daughter really loves Tweenies and she doesn't seem to be outgrowing it anytime soon as she still frequently asks for the programmes that we have recorded. My younger daughter never seems bothered by the programme so like most things it is down to the individual child but my eldest would give it 5 stars and I would say it is one of the better young childrens programmes.
