Advantages: Lights up and alot of sounds and aids learning

Disadvantages: None

My son has many great toys and alot of them are from VTech who really are the market leaders in my opinion in kids toys. He was bought this particular toy the Learn and Go Baby Driver for his 1st birthday and he still loves it to this day and he's nearly 2 years old.

This toy is bright yellow and has a set of traffic lights on the left hand side and a green gear stick on the right. Beneath the steering wheel are two buttons, one with a picture of traffic lights on it and the other with a musical note. At the bottom right is the switch that lets you turn it off or to a medium or high level sound setting. The focal point of this toy is of course the steering wheel itself with the inner circle showing the letters of the alphabet and the outer part has soft felt on it so it's great for your baby to touch.

Once you flick the switch you get the sound of an engine starting up as if the car is starting. Then if you leave it unattended every 10 seconds or so it will come to life and start singing tunes and the traffic lights flash. Also letters and numbers are repeated to help your baby learn. However, if you leave it for a minute then it will be quiet until your child touches something else. He or she can move the gear stick up or down with the worlds up or down spoken. Press the traffic lights button and the lights will flash and you are told what each light colour means - red for stop, amber for slow down and green for go. Press the musical note button and music plays.

When your baby twists the steering wheel round then the song round and round will play and pressing the button in the middle means a dog barks.

The toy is simple enough but there is enough for your child to keep interest going for a while and they learn as they go along. The bright lights and flashing make it very interactive for them and there a plenty of sights and sounds for them to choose by pressing various parts. Highly recommended like most of VTech's toys and can currently pick up for about £13 in most places.

Summary: Great toy that aids learning
