“ Brand: VTech / Age: 9 months „
This was brought for my son when he was about 6 months old for Christmas. He was a little too young for it then but it wasn't long before he was able to play with it more easily. I wouldn't recommend giving it to children younger than the recommended 9 months as my son used to grab hold of it, which was very easy due to the plastic piping running over the top of the cow, and then when he was lying down he would always manage to hit himself in the face with it. The base is quite heavy so it would swing in his hand and whack him. When he was older he had learnt more control over what he picked up and was OK with it. Basically the toy is a flattened cow, which has runners over its back. At the end of each runner is a little toy that can be passed over the runner to other side. Also at the end of the runners are little buttons that if pressed will play moosical tunes or sound effects. There were animal sounds and also an Old MacDonald's Farm song. My son did enjoy playing with this a lot but I found he got frustrated as he got older because he wanted to play with the little toys attached to the runners as separate toys and obviously they don't come off. He eventually lost interest in this at about 18 months old and went on to play with Duplo which was more tactile. I think this is still worth it and being Vtech it is good quality and will last well. The batteries never needed replacing all the while we had it (a year or so) and it cleaned up really easily. These can be picked up in most good toy shops for around the £10 mark.
I bought this for my seven month old daughter after she had spent hours playing with the one at a baby group i attend. The buttons dont require too much pressure to make them work and the beads move easily and freely on the wires. For the buttons there is an option of music or words. The words are a little boring and she prefers the tunes and animal noises. She especially likes the flashing light on the cows head. This toy has been thrown across the room and my daughter even uses the wires for teething and it still works as well as the day i bought it. I have bought many toys from different manufacturers but this seams to be a clear favourite as far as i am concerned.
My daughter has had the V Tech Moosical Beads for about a year now and she still loves it! It is a cheeky looking cow with 3 different shaped rods and there is a cow and bucket, farmer and hat, pig and trough and two birds and a nest. These can all be slid over the rods thus encouraging co-ordination skills. There are two sound modes to choose from, one being cheery music and the other tells you the animal and it's noise apart from the farmer it plays old Macdonald had a farm. I think this is a great toy, as always V Tech certainly come tops in my book.
Vetch Moosical Beads Yet another excellent toy from Vetch. My 2nd son had this bought him for Christmas when he was 4 months old and from day 1 he loves it. The toy is really light so now that he is 6 months old he can pick it up and chew the track. The toy is in a shape of a cow with 4 different brightly coloured tracks. As with most Vetch models there are 2 modes, 1 musical and the other talks. This one has a bird, cow, pig and the farmer as well as a nest, a bucket, a cart and a hat. All of the characters and items have 1 track each so when you move them to one end and push the button you will be told who the character is or what noise they make (depending on mode). This is all except the farmer, press this button and there are 4 different tunes on musical mode, on talking mode you are told 'Farmer' and 'Old Macdonald had a Farm' starts to play. Whilst all this is going on each time a button is pressed there is a light between the cows ears (horns) starts to flash. Attractive looking toy with bright colours, light and endurable, easy to clean, uses everyday AA batteries (were included), chewable tracks, educational and automatic switch off (just in case you forget).
My son was given this toy for his 1st birthday and loves it. The shapes are easy for him to slide along, the buttons are easy for him to press, its bright and cheerful, it is sturdy enough to be carried around by the rods, the voice is clear, the tunes are lively, loud and very clear and basically he loves it. I would highly recommend any of the VTech toys, we have several and they are all superb, its just happens to be that this is the most recent so I chose to comment on this one.
I dont know about you but shopping for birthday and christmas presents for my family can be hard.My sister has four children,it tends to be a bit of a nightmare. Whilst looking for my little nephews present in town I came across the Vtech moosical smart beads. It's great! The cow is sweet and is great for infants to learn vocabulary. The cows horns light up and flash to the sound of four melodies. The child can also play peek-a-boo with the sliding colourful beads which develop hand-eye coordination. There are four buttons that when pressed say cow, farmer, bird and pig. The moosical beads can be bought from index and costs £11.99p. Not only is it good fun its great value for money. I have a 5 month old little boy and thought I would test it out on him.He can't get enough of it. His little eyes sparkled and he got very excited. In fact when I put it back in the box he started to cry, so it looks like Father Christmas is going to have more than one of these on his list. Another great product from Vtech. The age for this toy is 6-30 months.
