VTech Playtime Bus
Advantages: great educational toy
Disadvantages: could be better made
The play bus is great, it has a lot of educational purposes but i dont think it is made as well as it could be.
It talks to you in a womans voice, when you press the button with the driver on it says tickets pleas.
You have the alphabet down the one side in yellow, you have 4 option settings one is to make the letters say the phonics sound, one is asking you to find a specified letter and praises you when you find the correct one, you have got sounds and letters where each letter tells you the sound of the letter and the name of the letter and music library where some of the letters play music and athers make a animal sound, the animal sounds represent the letter ie c= cat o=owl
On the top of the bus you have got 4 large buttons, a blue square with a key on it that when you press it sounds like an engine starting.
A orange triangle that has a horn on it and sounds like a horn when pressed.
A green star that has a music note on it and plays music when pressed.
A yellow circle that has a foot on it and when you press it it has the screaching of brakes.
It also has the numbers1 to 10 n the side in orange.
This bus has a lot of educational things on it and has two volume settings, requires 2aa batteries which last a long time as the bus turns itself off after no play for about 3 minutes.
The only down side to this toy for me is that there was a loose conection on the batery terminal on the inside of the bus which came unconected the first time my daughter droped it and seen as it is designed for children aged 1 to 3 years it should be able to handle a little bump like that.
It was easily fixed by putting the wire back on but when you open the front of the bus it opens streight down the windscreen, which has a sticker on it so you have to cut the sticker with a knife first.
Summary: a good learning aid
