Advantages: Colourful, educational and hard wearing

Disadvantages: Can get a little bit annoying when songs and phrases are played over and over

My Daughter got this pop up surprise ball last Christmas from my Mother in law. She bought her the pink one as there are a lot of boys in the family, however i had a Son in April so I'm sure he will play with it despite its girly colour!
The ball is made by Vtech, they make a lot of children's toys and seem to be very popular. Its made of hard plastic and has fabric sections which are patterned and also has three large buttons for children to press. When these are pressed the ball sings and says phrases such as 'peekaboo i see you'. These can be a little repetitive and annoying but can always be switched off as there is an on/off button.
The top of the ball is star shaped and pops up to reveal an animal.
My daughter has had a lot of enjoyment out of this toy, especially when it pops up! It seems to be very sturdy as it has been dropped and rolled a few times and is still working fine.
I have had a few complaints about this toy but only from my Sister about the noise it makes!
I'm not too sure about the price as it was a gift but I'm sure it wont be too expensive as i have bought Vtech toys before and found them to be very reasonable for the quality you get.
I would recommend this to all parents and would say it is best suited to babies aged 6 months and onwards as my Daughter was 8 months when she received it and was interested in it straight away.
