“ Brand: VTech / Age: 9 months / Type: Learning Toy „
My mum got my daughter this from a charity shop as my daughter would not leave without it! It was only about 50p or less and all it needed was new batteries so a bargain! It works fab and any child loves a phone especially my 2 who fight over this!
The phone is on wheels and has a piece of thick string attatched to the front so it can be pulled. I think its one of them toys that is old fashioned but will never get boring!
The phone has all numbers and looks like a real house phone so its great for make believe games.
The phone plays different tunes when each button is pressed aswell as the number itself. The hash button sounds like someone dialling a number it ringing and someone saying 'hello' then it plays a song-the same with the star button. There is a red button at the top that flashes red when something has been pressed and also rings. Like most vtech toys it has a volume button too.
I dont know why it is but every child i know loves a phone !! Boys & girls they all do.Maybe its because they see us on them all the time ....well my two do ...lol
My friend bought this for my sons 1st birthday and its been forgotten about for a while as he seems to have his very own toys r us forming in the front room at the moment so it was in his toy box but since his brother is getting older now out its come and is being played with like before all oevr again.
The phone is called a pull & learn phone and retails for around £11.99 this is the price that i saw in asda recently. The phone is made by vtech who are well known for their electronic learning toys. The picture above must be an old one as the phone has been jazzed up and is now alot brighter and has a few more buttons than the one above. The main body of the phone is now yellow & orange and the receiver is blue. The buttons are green, red or orange and light up when pressed and also when the tunes are played. There is also a puppy on the front which you slide along to move to the different modes. There is a short string on the front of the phone to pull it along and its on big green wheels which as you pull it along make the phone wobble.
The phone teaches the numbers from 0-9,hello,goodbye and also animals...as in one of the modes each number you press makes an animal noise and tells you which animal it is.My son especially enjoys the sing along mode and the songs are quite catchy as it goes which can be quite shameful when you start singing along with them !! The great thing about vtech toys is volume control as most seem to have this too.On the bottom of the phone base you will find this meaning you dont have to have it blaring out instead it can be set on the quieter mode.
The pull cord can be taken off and stored within the battery compartment so if you are using it for a younger child it wont pose a health and safety hazard.
It does come with two AA batteries included but if it gets used as much as mine has it will be worth keeping some handy as they do run out pretty quick.Overall i like this toy as it is stimulating and fun at the same time.
My son was brought this toy for Christmas last year and he thinks it’s great. He loves picking up the phone and putting it to his ear as if to say ‘Hello’. This toy helps children learn their numbers 0-9, Hello, Bye, how to pull and to pick up/talk on the phone. It can be pushed or pulled around and while it is being pushed and pulled around it plays 5 nursery rhymes. It has a red large shaped telephone button which when you press it, it rings like a telephone. When you pick up the phone it says Hello and when you put the phone down it says Bye. It has 10 yellow big number buttons which when a number is pressed you’ll hear the number and a sound beeps however many times the number says. It has volume control like most of these vetch products so it can be turned to low or high. There is a red triangle button with a white star on it which when pressed it dials and then says Hello and then plays 5 nursery rhymes but you have to press it each time for it to play all 5 different nursery rhymes same as there is another button which is a green square button with a white harsh symbol on it which does exactly the same. At the front it has a few little pictures that are on a rolling system and when pulled along it turns, these pictures are of a cat, dog and rabbit all with phones. It takes 2 AA batteries and costs £12.99. I’d recommend this toy to any parent, as it’ll keep the children happy for ages.
The perfect telephone for kids on the move.
