To turn on the sounds on the car you have to press the button on the top of the roof. You can also select whether you want the option with numbers of music. I have to admit like alot of these toys from this manufacturer it is very durable and I would imagine it would be hard to break. In fact my son has already chucked it around a bit and it's still in one piece so that's encouraging. On the back of ...more

My son who is almost 2 years old now has always been into cars and anything he can push around or pull along behind him on the floor. It keeps him amused for hours. So when this was bought for him for Christmas I was delighted. Now I have to say that I am a big fan of VTech toys but this isn't the best one I've seen. Don't get me wrong, he loved the look of it and it's bright colours, plus it talks, plays songs and is educational too. The idea is that the shapes that come with it have to be put through the corresponding slots in the car that match those shapes. Simple, but perhaps not for this age group. The car is largely bright yellow in colour ...  Read the complete review

When you are buying toys for young children I think it is surprising that lots of the toys are quite similar but in different styles. The shape sorter is a great example of this, a toy that has been around forever. The concept stays the same but the style and look can change. When my first son was born my mother-in-law asked if we'd like a shape sorter that she'd saved from when my 43 year old brother-in-law was a baby. I could see her point that it was the same kind of toy but I politely declined the offer. The VTech Sort n Go Car is one of quite a few shape sorter we've had in our house and I don't think it's any better or any worse than any other we ...  Read the complete review

Okay ignoring the fact that I think VW's are cute I really do like this toy. I was in the toy section browsing for something to get him now that he was coming up on a year old. I decided on this car for several reasons. The first being that he took a shine to it immediately. I had him with me at the time and he pitched a fit when I tried to put it back on the shelf. Another thing that sold me on it was that it is made by Vtech. I have been pleased by the quality and durability in this line of toys. This toy comes with five blocks of different colors & shapes. The car has the shapes cut out of the four side windows and the ...  Read the complete review

I quite like this car it has a good look and is easy for Steven to play with it has a pull along cord and an opening boot lid to get all the pieces out, he can only do the circle and star at the moment but he is working on the other pieces, it can play either music - good selection of tunes - or say ‘circle’ etc. when the piece is correctly fitted in. it has a volume switch which I feel doesn't alter the sound drastically. It also has flashing lights on the front which my son likes. Overall a good toy, if you want a basic shape sorter with a difference get this but there is only 5 pieces compared to some I have seen with a lot more to do, I feel you ...  Read the complete review
