A lovely toy which your child can grow up with and learn whilst having fun

I bought this for my twins for Christmas, as I'm a bit Thomas the Tank mad. I didn't just want a plain Activity Table for them. It does say it's for 2years plus but my twins were only 1 at Christmas and they can still play with it fine they just don't understand everything thats on it which is why I think it's aimed for children 2years plus.

I have never actually seen this in shops, I bought mine off ebay but I have googled it and it does come up on other websites to, so unfortunately I'm not sure of the actual retail price.

It is simple to put together as there is the Thomas table part and two legs, the legs simply click into place at the bottom of the table top, and there we have it a sturdy blue table with plenty of activites on the top.

So far my boys have played with alot but at the moment it's more of a pressing buttons and watching the lights flash bit of fun rather than actually understanding the acitivites on the table.

There is an on/off switch, once switched on a man talks and 2 arrows light up. There is a book on one part of the table, when you turn the page provided (a plastic one) the man tells a bit of a story about Thomas. When you turn the page it has the sound effect of a book page turning.

In the middle of the table there is a circle track and a Thomas the Tank figure which can be moved around. Around the track there is the alphabet in bold red letters. When Thomas is moved around the Alphabet it says the Letter that Thomas lands on. Theres a clock, when you move the clock hand it tells you the time. In one corner of the table there are buttons number 1 to 10 and on each face of the buttons there is a character from Thomas. When you press each button the numbers are said out loud. There is the Fat Controller in another corner which can be moved side to side. In the other corner there are shapes, a triangle, square and circle.

I have said before I love toys which are educational, and toys a child can learn from and have fun at the same time. Usually activity tables just have the basics, balls you can move or buttons you can press but nothing really that a child can learn from. So even though I am a HUGE Thomas fan at the moment (Lol) I also bought this because it can teach my boys Numbers, The Alphabet, Shapes, Times and colours. Even though at the moment they don't have a clue about numbers etc, I know this table will last them a long time as they have plenty to learn from it. But up til now it has provided them a lot of fun just by pressing the buttons and moving Thomas around the track.
