Advantages: Cheap, and keeps them entertained

Disadvantages: None that I can think of

I was struggling to find something for my 4 month old daughter who is now 4 for her Christmas. I was looking through the ARGOS catalogue and found this item along with the VTECH ball and book for £19.99. I though great price for three learning toys so I bought them and wrapped them up for Christmas day to come.

When I bought the pack of three items it was back in 2005. Unfortunately you cannot buy it anymore but you can buy the VTECH tiny baby touch phone by itself for £ 10.99. I still think that this a good price for the phone as my daughter still has hers and has had 4 years of endless fun with it. Great value for money I must say.

The phone has many different features which I am going to explain for you so know what your child will be learning through the phone.
There is a button on the side of the phone where you can see the pictures. You press the button in and it scrolls through the images on the screen on the top of the phone.

As you can see at the bottom of the product you can see numbers from 0 to 9, and shapes including circles, square, triangle, heart, oval, star, and a moon.

The number buttons light up and flash which my daughter loved and I found that she got very excited and she seemed to enjoy her toy more.
It also has special phrases sound effects. I thought this was great as it tells the child what shape he or she is pressing also what colour as well. This is a great way of a child learning shapes numbers and colours fantastic.

I would recommend this toy telephone to anybody with a young child. It is suitable from 5 months old until 36 months but as I already said my 4 year old is still enjoying hers. It requires 2 x AA batteries. It was also awarded best value from the baby awards in 2008.

I will rate this product 10/10. Its great value, a fantastic learning toy, and a great experience for the toddler to have.
