We bought this baby doll to try and help my 18 month old son understand that we were going to have a baby soon and i think it worked a treat.They do a baby boy and girl and as we were having a baby boy we got the boy doll.
We brought it home and my son was amazed.He got this baby out of the box and we explained to him that i had the same baby in my tummy....and he seemed to get it.Over the next little while we showed him us cleaning the babies bottom and also us feeding the baby so he could get used to how things were going to happen at home.I know this isnt the use that most people buy this for but to me it was a great idea as being only young himself we wanted him to be aware.
The baby born doll comes in a little outfit that said baby boy on his top.He came with a potty, nappy,bottle, plate & spoon and also two dummies.One is a magic dummy which when placed in the dolls mouth makes baby shuts his eyes.The baby is lightweight and nice size wise for a small child to carry around easily.The price of the doll can vary greatly....i purchased mine in argos for the bargain price of £10.99 as it was in the sale yet 3 weeks later when my friend tried to get one it had gone back up to £33.99 so as with all kids toys i would say to shop around.
I do really like the doll and although we used it as a learning toy for our son he loves him and still plays with him now so was worth every penny !!
