Advantages: hard body, leight weight, no batteries, encourages role play and nurturing

Disadvantages: Cost of the extras

My three year old daughter was given the Zapf Creation Ethnic Baby Born Girl Doll with Magic Potty for Christmas. She's late potty training so I thought it would be a great idea that she could potty train her own baby.... Little did I know that we would have two lots of puddles on ther floor....

This is a decent sized doll at 43cm function doll so she can wear some early/prem baby clothing rather than buying the accessories. For a doll that does not take batteries she has lots of functions including:

She drinks from her bottle which can be filled with tap water making it nice and ceahp :)
eats her own special food which you can buy for around £2.99 for 20 sachets from amazon/ebay etc
needs her nappy changed - both boots and tesco used to do nappies for early/prem babies which might fit this doll.
cries real tears - does this when not leaving puddles on the floor...
uses her potty - you do have to get a fair amount of water into the aby before she will use the potty so I guess this is just like the real thing
has moveable limbs
is bathable and opens and closes his eyes - we have one that lives in the bath all of the time. Toddler does not notice that she is getting clean too when washing her own baby

The doll comes with a bottle, plate, spoon, special doll food, potty, nappy, day and night dummies, birth certificate and comes dressed in a an outfit which is actually quiet nice for a doll.

Thanks to the babies moveable limbs you can balance her on the potty easily although she may fall off! The potty rewards the baby with flashing lights, tunes and flushing sounds. Potty requires 2AA sized batteries.

One of the cheapest places I have seen this doll is at John Lewis for £24.95 with free standard delivery. This is a great offer as the rrp appears to be between £35-40.

Summary: The ideal doll for a toddler
