Advantages: potty and accessories

Disadvantages: mess caused and cleaning involved when using 'food',expensive, additional outfits/nappies expensive

My daughter got the ethnic magic potty version last Christmas. Although she likes it, personally I dont think it's worth the r.r.p. (about £30). It comes with delightful sounding features (wee, poo, food) which on reading sound exiciting. In reality though they're just messy and a hassle as have to be meticulously supervised during play and then thoroughly cleaned afterwards. As such, we just use it as a regular doll 99% of the time, so the extra features are not worth paying for. On the other hand, the magic potty playing tunes and flushing, and the dummy closing the dolls eyes make for entertaining play. Also maybe note that extra 'official' Baby Born outfits for this doll are mightily expensive (£10 to £15 EACH!). Also only comes with 5 nappies so you may have to buy more later if you like the wee/poo function. Unfortunately, if you want an ethnic doll though, there isn't all that much choice of model, hence (I think) why we were given it. I think a tiny tears or similar might have been better as its the poo/food function that is just too much to contend with!

Summary: Not worth paying the extra for the pooing features
