      Cherrytastic!

I love cherries and particularly adore the one's you pop in drinks on a little cocktail stick and at this time of year it's time for all of us to fill up our drinks cabinets with all sorts of stuff we don't normally drink isn't it lol! I love a martini and lemonade come Christmas but always think it looks naked without a cherry in it!

Which is why when I saw a large glass jar of these priced at 89p a jar I simply had to get some!

The Jar is nothing special really to be honest with you. Glass and with a twist on/off lid to the top of it I'm simply told what they are and who they're by on the front label and around the back I'm given a list of ingredients and given storage advice, nutritional information is given and contact details for Aldi are listed as usual. Nothing special but the size is what appealed to me for the price and that size is 400g which means alot of cherries put it that way lol.

      The Cherries:

Round, bright red and in a light sugar syrup these are rally great. They have a slight crunch to them and don't go too soggy although they are stored in a liquid although they are not too crunchy and do sort of melt in the mouth after chewing gently for a couple of seconds. Nicely but not overly sweet these do taste of cherries and as you would imagine them to and have a n,ice natural and pleasant taste to them. Popped in a drink they fizz ever so slightly and again, don't go soggy or malt there colour off into a drink.

      Verdict:

A nice added extra to pop into a drink for some festive cheer! The only time I eat these is at Christmas and I simply feel they add a retro feel to a drink. Low in calories and not worth mentioning in that respect I really do rate these and they really do give value for money! Course you can try draining them and added them to other things too, try experimenting with these whole cherries!

      Only available in Aldi stores.
