... could be messy if it's a scone. Of course, there are some people who prefer to sample straight from the can... There are two reasons I am giving this a four not a five, and they are both personal preference. First, I actually prefer the taste of the Original version to Anchor's Light version. Second, the nozzle is remarkably tricky to keep clean - even running it under a tap may not get the bits out - and unless it is kept clean after every use you can find grey mold forming in it....more

Anchor Light Dairy Cream: I Love A Swirl Of Anchor Cream (332 words)

I love fresh cream, but always find I do not use it quick enough and have to throw some of it out. I find Anchor Light Dairy Cream, the perfect solution to this, because I get the taste of real cream but it lasts much longer. Anchor Light Dairy Cream comes in a metal cylinder, with a plastic nozzle on the top, which is covered by a plastic lid. After giving the cylinder a good shake, you press a button at the side of the nozzle and the cream sprays out quickly and easily. I love to use mine as a topping for puddings, as it is lovely and sweet but light at the same time. In the last week I have had it on top of chocolate fudge cake, and also on top ...  Read the complete review

Purpose of Anchor Light squirty cream appears to be purely, ... (445 words)

Anchor Light Dairy Cream.....what is the point? I mean if you've bitten the bullet to the extent of deciding you're going to be spraying cream out of a can onto anything, why would you start being mealy mouthed about it at the last moment, and opt for a low-fat version instead? Low fat squirty cream? I mean honestly. If you're going to throw caution to the wind to the extent of eating dairy cream in the first place, perhaps you should just eat cream and have done with it. Why bother with this waste of calories instead? So, while I quite like squirty cream in general, I wasn't enamoured by this particular product, which was purchased only because in our ...  Read the complete review

Anchor Light Real Cream. Having a very large family, and having people dropping in for a meal at a minutes notice, and my grandchildren loving deserts at nannas, ive decided to try this Anchor Light Real Cream. It costs £1.48p for this can which holds a whopping 250grams, and also the fact that it contains 45percent less fat than usual cream. This can lasts for months. What I really liked about this cream was the fact that unlike cartons of fresh cream once openned you have to consume within two days, this can sits nicely in your fridge and you can use and reuse time after time. It comes in a metal canister with a pull on ...  Read the complete review

Thick & Tasty (265 words)

I always use this cream and it tastes fantastic. You can get a 250g can for £1.60. This isn't actually the cheapest product and it can run out pretty fast if you use it everyday but it's ideal for things such as a coffee/cappuccino as well as desserts and other foods. It comes in an aluminium can, which is found along with the dairy things in many supermarkets including Tesco. It has a pointy white lid. It has pictures of fruit on the bottom to signify it's for fruits or deserts and just above is a sky with clouds and the Anchor logo. The lid easily pops off to reveal the spray mechanism. You simply press down on the trigger and the thick cream ...  Read the complete review

Anchor Light Dairy Cream: Spray cream - everywhere! (334 words)
by - written on 29/08/12 (Very useful, 70 readings)

Anchor Light Spray Cream is cream in a can, designed to be easy to use, long lasting and still taste like real cream even with reduced calories. It's comparatively cheap, and available from the refridgerator cabinets of most superstores. When you have it home, you can leave it out of the fridge, although it doesn't last as long without spoiling and you don't want to leave it near heat or in direct sunlight. It will however, last longer than standard potted cream under almost any circumstances, so if you are only using a bit at a time, this may be a better buy. The cream is sold in canisters, with a plastic lid. The lid can be removed to reveal the ...  Read the complete review
