      Great fruity treat!

Not very often do I buy tinned fruit. I do buy an awful lot of fresh fruit though and the other day find myself taking a glance at the tinned fruit in Asda and I really fancied trying a can of these out as I really do love apricots!

      The Packaging:

The can holds 411g of the fruit and light syrup and has a light green label around it with lots of pictures of apricot halves on it and we are told on the front of the can that they are Asda Apricot Halves In Light Syrup and the size is stated (as I have listed already). On the back of the can other information listed includes ingreidents (these are suitable for Vegetarians by the way), storage and nutritioanl information is given, there is a recipe suggestion for an apricot tart tartin and contact details for Asda are stated. Nice enough, informative can this is though it could do with a ring-pull the top of it in my opinion but never mind thats only a minor quibble!

      The Apricots:

What you get is absoloutely loads of small, rounded apricot halves, bright orange in colour and in an off yellow light syrup. No stones or bits float in the syrup and they look really, really good and to be honest I did expect a few messy pieces which I didn't get so these are great for decorating things with if you want to!

These are simply lovely, really fruity with a succulent fresh taste. Soft and easy to eat without being soggy I love them and was impressed with the amount I got in my can and served them with custard! With a drained weight of 324g the fruit is moist and the syrup is light and sugary but smooth and all in all I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing these time and time again in the future!
