      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not for me, too sour and made me pull faces trying to eat it which wasn't attractive!

I love fresh grapefruit so when I saw grapefruit in a can I was instantly attracted to it and thought I'd store some in a cupboard just in case I ever ran out of fresh!

      The Packaging:

The can holds 540g of grapefruit segments and juice and it has a blue label on it with photographs of grapefruits on there and we are told that it is Asda Grapefruit Salad 'In Grapefruit Juice'. Other information on the back of the label includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients and a nutritional chart is listed as well as the weight of the product (290g once drained by the way), there is a recipe suggestion on there and contact details for Asda are given. Nice enough and informative can this is though no ring-pull is given on the top of the can!

      The Grapefruit Itself:

What you get are segments of ruby red, pink and white grapefruit in about the same quantities and in a concentrated grapefruit juice which is a murky reddish colour and that is it according to the information given on the ingredient list.

The segments are mainly whole and look like grapefruit and smell like it too with a really zestiness to it. Taste wise though well its all a bit too sour, all rather soggy and although taste fresh enough and with no pithe or any nasties on it, it just really is very tart on the palette and it really is just too soggy for me! It looks nice enough however and good quality it just falls flat taste wise to me sadly! A good idea but not one I want to consume again in the future!
