Advantages: The use by date is impressive and convenient

Disadvantages: None

Betty Crocker products are very good.

This icing in particular. I constantly use Betty Crocker's products as I had nothing to do when I moved in with my boyfriend so I started baking with mixes. I wanted to do something other than little fairy cakes that don't fill anyone. I started making bigger buns with mixed food colouring and then putting one of Betty Crocker's pots of icing on top of them. Simply get a knife and scoop the knife equivalent of a spoonful and twirl it around the sponge. I make my cakes look like something out of an M&S advert with a knife and this icing.

It is in a standard mug sized pot with a foil lid. The use-by date is months after you buy it.

Its taste is amazing, a chocolate taste with a fudge taste that makes itself present after a couple of seconds. It isn't incredibly thick, nor is it liquid like. A very soft texture even after refrigerated.

Expect to pay between £1.40-£1.80 for this one pot but it last a long time. You still have half a pot left when doing an entire cake (even the sides and not just the top) about the size of a standard dinner plate.
Tastes wonderful and lasts a while.

Summary: Tastes great, doesn't break the bank, lasts a long time
