A lovely selection of summer fruits, frozen and ready to use

If you love fruit then these frozen mixed fruits are a really good buy. The picture on the front of the bag is a very accurate depiction of the fruit inside.

The frozen packs contain a lovely selection of berries, including cherries, blackberries, strawberries and redcurrants and do not contain sugar, though the ingredients does list something called TempText5, which must be some sort of food additive, though I have never heard of it myself. Nutritionally, a 30g serving only contains 27kcal. They still have a very natural flavour though.

The cherries in the pack have been pitted, though you do have to take care in case the odd stone gets through. The fruits are sold in packs of 500g and are perfect for eating as they are (once defrosted) or cooked in pies or crumbles. When cooked they do not lose their shape and you can add sugar if required. The taste is really good, and they are a good substitute for fresh fruit.

At about £1.39 per pack, they are good value for money and can be found in most Tesco stores.

So if you like lovely juicy summer fruits, then I can thoroughly recommend these!
