I love the taste of almonds, they are a lovely addition to any cake and are normally present in marzipan and cherry bakewell's. It's one of my favourite things to add to recipies in the kitchen so I always have a little bottle of almond extract around.
I always buy the Supercook version because, in my mind, they are the best company for baking products, I always buy the supercook version of products even if another version is cheaper because they are normally better value with a better taste. They have been making baking products in Britain for over 30 years and in that time have created over 150 products, most of which are brilliant quality.
This almond extract comes in a little 38ml bottle which is plenty as you only need a few drops when using it. The bottle is clear with a little red screw top made of metal. It had a cream coloured label on it which has the Supercook logo of a litle chefs hat and pictures of an almond. It also has some nutritional information in tiny writing on the other side:
It is made from the extract from quality almonds and is totally natural. It contains no artificial colours of preservatives which is great news if you don't want to fill your baking and your body with junk.
I feel kind of stupid saying this but beware if you are allergic to almonds because this contains them!!
Overall I think that this is a great product that gives a lovely nutty almondy taste to your baking and can be used top make great tasting cakes and biscuits etc. Plus it won't break the bank at just 84 for a bottle which will last you ages!
Summary: A fabulous thing to flavour to cakes biscuits and other deserts.
