It's not just an ordinary football Nana !
Mitre Ultimatch 18 P
Member Name: January
Mitre Ultimatch 18 P
Advantages: Good value
Disadvantages: non so far
I took my grandson to town with me to get him some new football boots as he's become obsessed with football and has been picked for his school team, so when we went into the sports shop and he spotted this Mitre Ultimatch 18 P football he was all smiles and "please nana, it's not just an ordinary football" !
So, like the softy that I am I bought it him along with the boots so he could practise his football manovers with his dad down at the local park.
I paid £10.00 at JD Sports shop in Hereford and you can buy them online at Amazon from £10 - £15 depending on which one you buy.
I have never been into football and my son wasn't interested in it when he was at school he used to play Rugby so my knowledge of footballs was quite limited until my grandson taught me a few things.
Apparently this football is lighter than other footballs and it also comes in three different sizes. My grandson told me that each size is for a different age group of players the small size 3 is for children under the age of 8 and are generally 23-24 inches in circumference, then the next size up is 4 used for players aged from 8 to 12 and are usually a circumference of 25-26 inches.
Then the larger size 5 with a circumference of 27-28 inches is for the older players aged from 12 and over. Each ball is a different weight too which I also didn't know. I though they were all the same and you paid more if you bought a brand name, but this isn't the case.
My grandson has had this football for just over a months now and he has used it everyday since it was bought so I'm quite happy with the price I paid just to be able to see it's getting some use.
It is light weight for easy flight and can be used on the turf or grass of the park, it can be used for tricks and is easy on the head when you have to header the ball to the next player.
It is a wipe clean ball as it has had plenty of action in the park in all types of weather and has a few scuff marks on it but the pressure of the ball has stayed the same. It hasn't had to have the valve replaced and is still very bouncey when you throw it or kick it against the wall.
It's very well made and is of tough non woven PU although I don't know much about football I do know that this Mitre Ultimatch is good value, durable and great for a game of football.
10 out of 10 from me
Summary: well made
