Advantages: Easy To Control and Pass
Disadvantages: Easily Burst
If you play football on a saturday or sunday for pub team or local team, then you will most likely have encountered the Mitre at some point. It may not be seen as the glamourous ball because of the total 90 used in the premiership, but the mitre was used in the F.A cup a couple of seasons ago which brought the quality of the ball to light.
Usually the preferred choice of ball for amateur football. My personal feeling on the subject is that the ball seems to keep low and can be passed around the pitch easier and unlike the total 90 balls and the addidas tango balls there is not as not so much swerve and bounce on the mitre during games, which is a welcome break for a goalkeeper such as myself.
The ball is also great for training as the ball does not seem to roll in a way which gets away from your touch, it allows people to work on their touch and improve confidence in their skills.
A drawback however I have noticed is that the ball does seem to go flat easily, so it would be recommended to buy a football pump with this ball, or even just another Mitre because lets face it , they are not expensive !
A real footballers ball
Summary: Don't waste money on a 'good ball' when you can get a better one for cheaper
