Barclays Bank:
... joined Barclays in March this year so that I could take advantage of their excellent regular saver rate of 6%. Applying for the savers had to be done in branch, however staff were very friendly and did not push other products onto us, although we did have to wait over an hour to speak to someone. Once I had my saver set up I expected to recieve some sort of confirmation, or information about the account in the po... Read the full review: Give me back my money! by Dinah93 |

But of course this closed down not long after I opened the account typical! Anyway as I was a student, I had a student account and I had a Visa Electron card, I had no problems at all with this card or the bank and never had to go in. The bank was still in a local town which meant it was just a bus ride away. My card lasted me throughout my time at both college and university, and I still never encountered any problems. Halifax ... me start this review by mentioning that I really get annoyed and irritated by banks and building society s. Last week I popped into my local Halifax branch to make a counter transaction. I wasn t aware that any changes were being made starting from 1st December despite the claim that a letter had apparently been sent to me. It unravels that the current account I have will be changing and that Halifax will be charging me £1 per day for every day the account holder is overdrawn. She advised me to see an account advisor to review my account so it can be s... Read the full review: I actually did get " A LITTLE XTRA" by cher_2004 |

HSBC ... stands for the Hong-Kong and Shang-Hai Banking Corporation, and due to the international nature of their banking has been widely billed as the healthiest bank both entering and throughout the credit crunch. I have been a customer of HSBC for 11 years now, and while I have opened secondary accounts with other banks, I have always kept my main account here. HSBC operate the usual online, over the phone, or in branch methods of banking. The one I use most often is their online banking system. This is fairly secure to log on to, and displays all your accounts. The online banking is really easy to use, to transfer money between accounts, or to make payments elsewhere. T...
