I have banked with abbey for around 4 years now and have never had any problems with them.

I only have a basic bank account with a cash machine card, no debit card or cheque book but that manages me just fine. It allowes me to have my money paid in and my direct debits paid out.

you can with draw money from any link cash machine free of charge or can withdraw from there branches personaly if you have the time, you can with draw upto £250 each day.

Abbey has a telephone line that is open from 8am to 8pm for an automated balance by ringing 0845 7654321 you can also speak to an advisor about your account on this number.

A few weeks back i payed a cheque into my account and was very surprised to see that it had cleared in 3 working days.

Another aspect of abbey i was very satisfied with was that they call me every time a company puts in a request for a new direct debit on my account to check that i have autherised it.

I am so pleased with my abbey bank account that i have since taken my home insurance out with them.
