Advantages: Easy to navigate web site

Disadvantages: Slow transfer of funds to other banks

I would recommend this bank to anyone. I used to change banks regularly until we joined the Abbey. We have been with them now for 19 years. A record for us! We have an account with another bank and the Abbey wins hands down. No charges for stopping a cheque (which our other bank does ) Their online banking system is also so much easier to find a way around. Statements are clear and easy to read and their is the option to opt out of paper bills and go paperless if that is what you prefer.
On the downside money transferred from my account takes longer to arrive at the recipients bank than it does from my other bank...However this has recently improved and is quicker than it used to be so maybe in time it will be instant as my other bank account is. Personally I would find this a great improvement, but having said that it would not make me change banks
