Advantages: It's a bank
Disadvantages: Rude Staff, Minimum deposit, Lowest interest rate
I have banked at Abbey National since I was very little. I will not mention the time they closed my bank account because it had less than £50 in it. When I go in a branch of Abbey National, I have to psyche myself up for world war 3. I go in to withdraw money, and I get abuse because of this. WHy? I do not know to this day. When I want to deposit money I get told that it isn't a sufficient amount. They make me feel like I am a really poor person that has to beg for every little penny that is in my account. I have lived on Mayfair and I haven't experienced that kind of snobbery before. I would recommend not EVER going to this 'bank'. The customer servise is insulting. They complain when depositing money. They complain withdrawing money. They look down on you just for being there. As for there interest rates. PLEASE. I can find other banks offering much better rates. I closed my account last year. They still leave an unpleasant taste in my mouth.

- 12/09/01 Sorry to rate so low as I do sympathise with your plight but you dont actually quote the interest rates or tell us where to get better ones, you dont tell us about any good experiences you had there (and plllleeeeease dont lie and tell me the entire time you were there was bad) and you also fail to mention when questioned that I am now sounding like a cop so I'll stop. Sorry :0) |
