Advantages: Telephone banking

Disadvantages: Nagging about telephone banking

Having been with the bank for nearly four years, have not got too much to complain about, they were so much better in terms of customer service when I joined them than Midland (now HSBC).

On the whole the bank is fine. There are niggles though.

1, When I go into pay a bill I don't want to keep being reminded that I can do it over the phone. I sometimes would like to be served by someone face to face.
2, I don't want to keep being hassled to take their other products or their Web service.
3, Their webservice is not secure enough yet to warrant using. I've reviewed it and it isn't strong enough. Have already emailed them about it, get the response "All transactions are guaranteed but my concerns have been passed to their security team.
4, Why do I have to pay to make a Giro payment at my branch.

As regards their telephone banking, we've had several mistakes from them. When they do make them, don't take a simple apology from them, give them hell and demand some form of compensation into your account. We've done so in the past when their mistake has cost us money.

Although these are real whinges, I find on the whole they do a good job, and this could be dependant on the branch you go into.
