They are quick to take the money out of your account (within minutes) the problems start when money is due into your account. I get paid monthly at the end of the month, boss pushes the button on the 26th and with almost all banks that plenty of time. I cannot believe that today the whole of the banking system was not working at Santander/Abbey today. It is unbelievable that a bank that size does not have a back up system. I think they are now spread too thin and maybe do not have the rescouces they lead us to believe. I don't rate them at all.

Had some fraud on my account (over the phone - the telephone banking security is very poor). They were supposed to open a new account, transfer everthing over and close the old account, but it took over 12 weeks, tens of phone calls and visits to branch to sort it out. I didn't have normal access to my money for that entire time.
